metal corrosion
Metal corrosion is caused by electrolytic action between damp or wet metal or heating / cooling systems via any dry to wet contact to the Earth. It is named electrolysis corrosion or electrolytic action. Electrolytic action is particles of metal being dissolved from your metal by battery current. Battery current is DC - Direct Current so always flows in the same direction. AC (Mains power) is Alternating Current that reverses direction every half cycle (Hertz or 1/60 or 1/50 second) so dissolved particles will be replaced every half cycle. So AC cannot cause electrolysis corrosion. All electrolysis is eliminated by the SeaBis System under actual live use conditions - guaranteed in writing here. Testimonials here.
In doubt? Ask any manufacturing jeweller how he plates gold onto base metal. The gold is your (metal / engine / hull)damp or wet metal and the (jewelry)base metal is the Earth.

Proof the SeaBis System Eliminates Electrolysis, Electrolytic Corrosion, Permanently.
In order to eliminate electrolysis corrosion we need to understand the cause.
Understanding the cause is easy when you consider the following:
When electric current flows it does so by moving particles through metal. For example, your car: When you start your engine electric current flows through the battery to the starter motor. The battery supplies the electric current and the particles of metal. The battery, within a predictable time will exhaust itself of metal particles and will collapse. The metal has all been used and so the battery fails. You ask, so what has the got to do with my boat / pump / windmill / railway line / rig / lamp post, truck ... Your car is sitting on rubber tires so is insulated from the Earth. All the other are sitting in a perfect conductor - water or the Earth.
An example is the light above your head.
Turn the light on. Electric current flows through the element emitting light by moving particles through the element. Eventually the movement of particles will deplete the element and the element will be so weak it breaks. The lamp goes out and you buy a new one. To state the obvious: Lamps are much cheaper than hulls, propellers, engines, cooling systems, pumps, pipes, tanks, railway lines, lamp posts, rigs, truck, tractor, bus ...
To prove that it is current, not voltage, that is corroding the element:
While the lamp is on, holding a cloth so your fingers don't get burnt, remove the lamp. The current through the element ceases and the lamp goes out so the element (your hull) does not loose particles any longer. The lamp switch is still on so voltage is still applied to the lamp socket. There is nothing to be gained by measuring voltage at the lamp. It has no changed. Current through the lamp has ceased. So to eliminate electrolysis we must measure current then disconnect and insulate equipment until the current falls to acceptable levels. That is the result of the SeaBis System.
So all we have to do to permanently stop electrolysis corrosion is to insulate all metal that can get damp to immersed or is contacting the Earth!
Yes - easily said and with the correct tool and procedure is completed by most persons. The remainder prefer to hire a Technician. In either instance we prefer you understand your system and remedy and that is why we supply online, phone or Skype assistance in the purchase price. We want you to be successful. We will work with yourself and your nominated person. We will happily train your Technician. All included in the purchase price of the SeaBis System. N.B. Nearly all liquids are conductors The only exception being pure undiluted and uncontaminated non soluble oil. If you add oil to water it does not become an insulator. The degree of insulation depends on the type and percentage of oil. So why are radiators not filled with a very light oil? Transformers are.
So how do I know when all damp to wet metal or the Earth is adequately insulated?
The electric current is flowing from damp or wet metal to the Earth - near dry, damp or wet. Easily proved using the Flexible SeaBis or Maintenance System. Place the probe in the Earth or metal in contact with water / Earth and measure the current (on SeaBis Traffic Light System). When you move the probe you will find the path. It is very important to realize the current flows between damp to wet metal and the Earth. So a multimeter cannot tell you the truth. You cannot insert it between the metal and the Earth. If you attempt it two affects will occur:
1. It is in parallel with the cause of electrolysis so, at best will measure a proportion of the current directly related to the comparative resistance. I.e. Unless you paid more than $800 for the multimeter it's resistance will be 10 to 5000 times greater than the cause so the multimeter cannot tell you the truth.
2. Your multimeter will have completed or is about to complete a short across the battery / power source. Batteries create hydrogen gas. The Zeppelins (luxurious balloons carrying passengers) were all held aloft by hydrogen gas. They all exploded in flames. A very nasty way to die.
The solution: Use the SeaBis System. It is safe, accurate and instantaneous.
That is why we offer a 3 year money back guarantee, in writing click here, when as best I can determine, no-one else does.
